Volvo: Check engine light, v70 awd, running in circles

I recently bought a 1998 v70 awd. After 2 weeks the "check engine" light
came on. Scan says that there is a evaporator/emission problem. Light came
back twice after overrides. Gas tank cap test showed it is OK. Car appears to
be driving OK - i don't really drive a lot. Help me solve - scared to be running
in circles.

The tank evaporator system will show that there is a problem for many reasons. What code is showing? Most times I see the one for tank leakage and then have to trace all the vapor lines to look for leaks. The running of the vehicle is not affected, however the vehicle will not pass emissions.
