Volvo: volvo 440 starting problem, volvo 440, ray hope

hi ray, you did answer my last question , thanks a lot. volvo has no power to the coil or the fuel pump  when ignition is switched on, i have checked the fuses nothing wrong there , it does have an alarm but i switched it off with  the key it comes with, does this bypass everything?
but it still doesnt startthe engine just turns , all the dash lights work. is there a relay and if so where the hell is it , i found a relay box under the bonnet drivers side near the wiper arm ,but i chopped and changed relay still nothing . i am begining to full the last of my hair out .i am mechanically minded i used to build my own oval track car . but this problem got me stumped.BRING BACK THE OLD CARB,CONDENSOR POINTS&MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP ITS MUCH EASIER PLEASE!! ha ha ha

Turning off the alarm does not really by pass it, it turns the alarm off to allow you to start the vehicle. If the alarm works on your car as it does here in the U.S. then it should just disable the engine from cranking. In the United States we do not have the 440 so I am not sure how your vehicle works. Here if the engine cranked over and would not start I would not condem the alarm system. I would start by reading the codes in the Motronic system and go from there. The alarm relay in our S70's is in the relay box that is located left front lower corner of the windshield cowell.
