Volvo: 1996 volvo 850 wagon central locking, volvo 850 wagon, micro switches

Question
My central locking is wacky.  For awhile, it worked but kept blowing fuses.  I seemed to fix that by "working" a sticky door lock button.  Now, when I unlock I either trigger the alarm, or not all doors open, from outside, tho dash central locking button operates fine.

Answer
Sara,
That will be a painstaking job of trial and error to pinpoint the area that is causing your problem. The way you have described the problem it sounds like the locking mechanism itself. There are some micro switches in that lock that maybe getting old and not working, or wiring maybe shorting out and not making contact. You may consider taking the car to the dealer and have them inspect it and give you more repair options.
