when i switch the engine on it cuts off unless i keep my foot on the accelarator paddle it raves to 4000rpm only doesnt go beyond, when i turn the steering on full turn it pulls more power, the light get deam and bright and the computer is not showing any fault message on board. my model is 2001 2.9 twin turbo executive petrol automatic transmission, what could be the problem?

I think a trip to the shop is in order. You might need a "download" for the Electronic Throttle System. Also possible since there is not a fault code the Engine control unit may also need a "download". The vehicle will need to be hooked up to the Volvo Vadis or Vida and monitor the running to see what inputs are missing.
