Volvo: Drive Belt Replacement - Volvo 240 1991, drive belts, volvo 240

I understand someone has asked you this question before, and you gave them the answer you did because you thought it was the most professional advice. I respect that yet curiousity presists.

I have a chiltons for the 240 and it's section for belt replacement is very weak. It actually states to first "remove the accessory." And it's diagram shows the belt configuration w/o the fan even there. So it would really move me as one of curiosity and mechanical capability to hear from an expert, the tools and process for removing the fan and replacing the two drive belts that turn the a/c fan.

Every swedish mechanic around my area charges an astronomical rip off fee, and I'm fully capable of completing this quest if only with a little guidance from an expert. Thank you sincerely for your time friend.

Hello! Drive belt replacement is very straight forward. Just remove the fan and loosen the adjusters for each compnent. It may be best to let a pro do it or get a more detailed manual. Go to www.volvotechinfo.com or www.ipdusa.com to get one.
