Question
The other day my odometer and trip meter just stopped working.  I put gas in my car and before I left the gas station I reset my trip meter.  I drove about 85 miles turned off the car and then when I was driving I noticed that the odometer and the trip were not working (118,000 miles).  Also, my ABS and Track Off Light are coming on and staying on at times (the brakes and rotors have been replaced).  Also, my cruise doesn't work if that has anything to do with anything.  I have only owned this car for about a month and really would like to have my odometer fixed. (The Volvo Dealer said it would cost $250 to change the gears but suggested to get a whole new odometer because it may not be the gears)  Can you please help I don't know if it is a sensor or fuse or what.  Thank you for your time and help.

Answer
Hello! The odometer gear is probably broken it is a very common problem. You can buy the gear yourself at www.ipdusa.com or www.odemetergears.com. I would recommend the a pro replace the gear for you. The ABS/TRACS light could be an expensive fault. You may have to replce the ABS/TRACS module. May cost over $600.
