Volvo: 94 960 volvo, winter mode, transmission control

hi, i have just recently aquired a problem with my winter mode. there is this arrow on the dash that blinks also the options winter and economy also blink. the seem to do this more times than not but chooses when. when it does this it seems like my care will not shift until the rpms are high. what can i do and what is wriong. i also can not find a way to put a cd player in the car nobody has a kit for that year and model. what is the cd option for on the stalk radio.

Hello Jesse! If the arrow is flashing, there is a fault in the transmission somewhere. It could be internal or it could be a sensor fault. You will need a Volvo special tool to read the fault stored in the transmission control module.
As far as the CD player goes, I am very suprised that you cannot find one. Most major brands will fit. If not, Volvo makes one too.
