Volvo: coil, signal voltage, volo

even though we,ve installed a new coil in our volo 1983 engine,we still get no spark what do we look for before the coil?

Check the 12 V lines coming from the ignition switch.  Sometimes the connections at the coil can corrode to the point where current won't flow anymore.  I would give them a good cleaning and make sure you get a signal voltage when you turn the key.  Good luck!
