Question - Thanks for the info... can you tell me how you can tell that the tensioners deployed and what they actually do?

My car was in an accident and air bags deployed... I've replaced the bags and control unit but i'm not sure if front seat belts need to be replaced.  Can you tell me what happens to them when air bags are deployed and how i can tell if they need to be replaced?
Answer -
Hello Allan! If the airbag deployed, replace the seatbelts. The seatbelt tensioners deploy as well. It is best to replace them.

Answer
Hey Allan! If the airbag went off, the seatbelt tensioners deployed. They pull back on the belt to help keep you in your seat. They should be replaced without question. I would let a qualified Volvo technician do the repair. There is no room for error with SRS.
