I have a volvo 850.  I need to reset the on board diagnostic system.  I understand it is a series of steps taking while driveing the vehicle at different speeds.  Can you provide me the steps, sequence and what to do?

Hey Don! You will need a special Scan tool clear any fault codes that may be stores in the computer. Any OBDII scanner should be able to read and reset emmisions related codes. The Volvo scan tool works the best. No driving is needed. It will all get reset by using the proper tool.
