Driving & Driving Test Tips: Junior drivers license, southwick massachusetts, american citizen

Question
Hello

I am from Switzerland and I have been to the US as an exchange student in Southwick Massachusetts. There I went to driving school and I passed the test and got a Junior Driver's License. But time passed, it reached its expiration date and is now invalid.
Now, what do I have to do to get a new one. I live in Switzerland now and my American License  is accepted here so I would love to have a valid one.

I hope you can answer this question.
Thanks

Answer
Dominik-

Thank you for being patient with me.  You asked some excellent questions.

I have good news and bad news.  The bad news is you are not an American citizen, so if you are not residing in Massachusetts, they will not renew or reissue your JOL.

The good news is that instead of only being good for one year, the JOL is now good for two years, even if it only says one on your license.  If that applies to you, take heart.

However, if it is more than two years, you will have to be issued a driver's license by your home country or get an international driver's license.

Good luck

Michael
