4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: tires, jeep cherokee sport, r15 tires

Question
I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport 4x4 . I currently have 225 75-R15 tires, and was wondering if I can put 235 tires on without having to lift or modify fenders?

Answer
Leah,

You should be able to.  Sometimes this depends on how good your suspension is.  If it is sagging, or a little worn, the larger tires may rub slightly.  If this is the case, you can go to a 70 series tire which would be about the same diameter, but slightly wider. From what I know, you could go to a 245 with no problems.
