Question
QUESTION: My Honda passport is burning way too much fuel. when you start the vehicle you can smell the gas coming from the rear of the vehicle. and it idles above 1000 rpm's.  when set to below 1000 rpm's it gives trouble to start, you have to over start it for it to start up.

ANSWER: Tee, it could be a number of things causing the problem . They could be as followed, Fuel injector or injectors dumping to much fuel, fuel pump . Fuel pressure regulator , or even the computer, I guess I cant diagnose it without actually lookinf at it, but if a shop tells you any of those things are wrong with it I couldnt disagree thanks ADAM

QUESTION: Thank you!  I took it to a electronics place that hooked the vehicle up to the diagnostic computer.  It said that a sensor is bad but it couldn't say which one. I already purchased a gas regulator as I have never changed that part before on the vehicle.  How could I know which sensor it is??

Answer
Well if it is running rich and getting too much fuel they might say it is an o2 sensor, but that would not be 100% true because if it is running rich it might be setting a code for an 02 sensor, Did you take it to like auto zone , or O Reillys or any where they can scan the computer 4 you as well ADAM
