4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: replace broken stud, air impact wrench, wheel studs

Question
one of my front passenger-side wheel studs has snapped off.How do I replace it?

Answer
Charles,

You need to take the wheel off and then remove the brake caliper, rotor and bracket to get tot the hub. Take a hammer and beat whats left of the old stud out of the back of the hub...they are just pressed in from the back. To replace it just put the new stud through the wheel hub and put a few old washers over it and an old lugnut open on both ends and take an air impact wrench and tighten the mess out of it to pull it back through. Then just remove the wahers and lug nut and replace the brakes, and wheel.
