4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Hard pull to the right during braking, long periods of time, steering linkage

Question
QUESTION: I have a 97 Astro van with AWD.  The van has a hard pull to the right when braking.  My first thought was that possibly one caliper is applying more braking force than the other.  Therefore, I have changed the brakes in the front calipers, caliper pins, and rotors.  Everything has been properly lubed.  However, this did not resolve the problem.  My next thought was possibly I should rebuild the calipers to make sure there is nothing binding.  Also, another thought would be that one of the ball joints in the steering linkage could be causing this.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

ANSWER: so...did you replace the front calipers?

QUESTION: No I did not replace the front calipers.  Do you think the brakes are responsible over any play in the suspension components?

Answer
Thats where I would start. typically if there is abrake bull it is in the calipers or pads. Replace them both though so you don't have the problem the other way again later on. and no I wouldn't think the brakes would cause suspention to wear unless they are pulsating back and forth for long periods of time
