4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: audio systems, ford explorer eddie bauer, explorer eddie bauer

I bought a 1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with a JBL audio system in it. It doesnt have a cd changer in it now so I was wondering where the wires would be for it and how i would hook them up to the changer. I was really interested in putting my own cd player in it but the wires will not connect. How would i go about doing that. Please list all the information i would need to do so i could put my own in. I tried to put it in but the plug-in wires won't plug-in to each other. What plug wire would i need to do that. I have a sony cd player. If you could get back to me asap i would appreciate it. Hi Matt, great question, but almost impossible to answer with the wiring diagram for both the vehicle and the CD changer.  Of course you could go to the local dealer, BUT probably cost an arm and a leg.  Could go to Best Buy, but now sure how much they would charge if they didnt sell you the changer.  Look in the Yellow Pages for a local mechanic that does work like this and give him a call.  If it sounds good you mignt call the local Better Business Bureau to check, but he will probably do a decent job for you.  Best of luck, Bud
