4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Front driver tire noise, 2000 Bravada, tire noise, noise down

Question
High noise from front driver wheel.  Bought new tires, returned tires got better new ones still have rolling noise.  Down shifting to 2nd gear (automatic) seems to help. So does starting in 1st, go to 2nd and then Drive gear...any help??

Answer
Ron,

It's hard to diagnose noises without, actually driving, or listening to the vehicle.  What you are describing, sounds like a bearing, or bushing going bad.  Could, even be a bad, or worn brake pad.  I would suggest that you take the Bravada to a reputable front end shop, and have them give you an estimate.  Shifting the automatic shouldn't make any difference.  The only other thing that may be happening, is that you have a drive line, or transmission component going bad, and the sound is telescoping down the frame, or drive line making it appear to be coming from the front wheel.
