4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: serpentine belt configuration, serpentine belt, jeep cherokee

need to know serpentine belt configuration, in the process of replacing water pump on a 96 jeep cherokee, husband & son scratching their heads! AND I'm getting hungry & want to go eat!

If this isn't shown on a diagram under the hood (sometimes on a paper fastened to the bottom of the hood), then the next best way to find this is to purchase a repair manual for your Jeep.  These manuals give step by step instructions on most repairs, and can come in handy for future trouble shooting.  They can be purchased at most auto parts stores for $20 or so.
