Isuzu: 89 Isuzu p/u Vin #s, engine parts, chk

Question
Hello,
My name is Adam and I currently own an 89 Isuzu P/u w/ 4wd. Lately as this is an older vehicle I have had to break down and replace or repairs things that go along with aging auto's my concern though as of late is that some of the parts I'm needing to replace or call for parts on are with the engine.  Looking around online most vin #'s for the trucks are listed with a 4ze1 or 4zd1 to decifer the models/specs of trucks.  I have a totally different vin then what is listed out on the web or what the dealers have in there computers. My vin# is legit its been chk'd through dmv but my number contains a 1exk in the vin.  I've been told it should be similar to the 4ze1 model which would make it the 2.6L? I'm just looking for some advice on this as I'm currently in need of replacing some engine parts for my truck. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Answer
If it is like my Trooper, they were made in different countries, but are almost exactly the same. engine parts will be ok, just make sure you have the right engine size. Most engines are made in the same place and assembled in different plants. you should have no problems.
