Suzuki: button on 97 Suzuki Sidekick, suzuki sidekick, geo tracker

I just sold my 89 Geo tracker & bought a 97 Suzuki Tracker Sidekick JX, automatic, 4 door hardtop. Just beside the shifter is a button that has A N P on it. I don't have a manual with this vehicle & cannot find anything to tell what it is on line. Would you happen to know what it does?

I have never seen an automatic on a late vehicle, and while I suspect that it modifies the shifting performance, cannot say for certain.
Yeah, I know, same old stuff - but you reall NEED to have literature that describes proper operation to avoid inadvertently causing damage - right?
