Suzuki: why my jeep dies out, electric fuel pump, suzuki samurai

Question
I have a 1994 Suzuki Samurai jeep. Every time I start it up, it will die out after a minute or 2. Then I will try to restart, it will not do so. I have changed the electric fuel pump and the fuel filter, the problem is still the same. What can I do to get started and for it stay on without dying.

Answer
It's losing either fuel, or spark, since it will restart eventually.  You need to start doing some diagnosis.  For instance, when it dies and won't restart, does a shot of carb cleaner make it try to start more than it had been?  If so you have a fuel problem - but - if not, start suspecting a spark problem.  Gotta find out what kind of problem to find the right kind of solution.
