Suzuki: 1.6L 8-valve, new rockers, cam timing

Question
I just put the head back on my samurai and it won't start. Yes all timing has been checked and rechecked. I have fire at the plugs with new rockers, cam and cam pulley. When cranked the fuel blows back up thru the throttle body. The intake has a EGR valve attached,if the valve is faulty could this cause the blow back. It appears the fuel is not getting to the plugs.

Answer
If the cam timing is right, the engine will suck air in the intake, not blow it out.

Does it backfire the mixture out, or just generally push it out all the time?
If it backfires, it's ignition timing, if it constantly pushes it out, it's cam timing.
