Suzuki: 1990 GEO Tracker LSI Ground Problem, geo tracker lsi, inner fender

Question
The previous owner of my Tracker has done some crazy wiring in the engine bay and under the dash. I think the battery ground may have also been placed in a bad position causing me starting problems. The ground from the battery goes to a bolt from the starter and a separate cable from the battery to the inner fender wall. Could the ground going to the starter bolt affect the grounding of the starter itself? Should this wire go to the frame instead?

Answer
Suzuki is fond of running a ground wire to the trans , bell housing, starter, block or wherever depending on what it is.  As long as there's a wire from the battery to the engine, or starter,(a relatively big one, and another to the body and /or frame, you're good.  (The electrons don't know or care, so long as the wires are big enough to carry the power.
