I am replacing my 2000 Bonneville (it was totalled recently..no injuries fortunately). My question is this.. i have tested bmw, mercedes, lexus and will test Infiniti tomorrow. Of the cars I've tested the one I enjoyed the most was a 2006 Mercedes E350. It was fully loaded. The dealer is asking $40,200. That will work out to a payment after my down payment of around $650-675/mo. I have heard many good things about the Infiniti G35 sedan. It is a little sportier but still a very nice luxury car. I can get a loaded G35 (nav system, satellite radio, premium sound, etc...) for around $37k and thats before haggling with the dealer. I guess this comes down to how much you buy into the Mercedes legend but in your mind is it worth paying $40k+ for an 06 with 30000 miles vs $37k (or lower) for a new loaded Infiniti G35?

AnswerI would go with the G35. It is brand new, will keep its resale value, and not too expensive to maintain. A Mercedes, though a very nice car, is high maintenance, will lose more value, and be very very costly to operate and maintain....It is a matter of preference, but value and repair, The Infiniti, has it all, you will not make a bad choice, but in my opinion the Infiniti, will be the better one all around..Let me know what you and up doing, enjoy whichever car you purchase!!
