Tips on Buying Cars: car loans, mitsubishi outlander, kia optima

Question
Hi,
I have gone through ch. 7 bankruptcy last year and did not have a car in my name therefore i went to one of those used car dealers(buy here/pay here). i put 1200 down on a used kia optima and after 6 months there were things going wrong electrically with it. I went to a kia dealership for parts and ended up buying another used car from them. The dealer gave several options to get rid of my kia and would not take it as a down payment because i was so upside down ion it. I needed lower payments and i hated that kia so much that i bought this second car which is a mitsubishi outlander. This car is great however, my friend who was supposed to purchase the kia backed out and now i am stuck with two cars. I owe like 8500 on the kia and now i have a 12,000 on this new mitsubishi. I dont think repo is an option. Plus, i looked online and went to carmax and they will only give me 3000 for the kia. How do i resolve this. I already filed complaints with kia about the car dealer and put for sale signs on my car but i dont know how i will be able to come up with the rest of the money even if i do get 3000 for the kia. please help.

Answer
Have you looked at your credit report lately? It is possible that they are not reporting to the bureau. If not,in the future credit wise they will look at your current auto loan as your credit history. The bad thing is that the buy here pay here could file a garnishment against you. It was a bad decision to buy a Kia in the first place. They are junk and may have a hard time selling it or trying to get someone to take over the payments for you. Which is what you need to do.  That or suck it up and make both payments. I'm sorry your in the predicament. It's not good. May have to chalk this one up too hard knocks or hire an attorney and sue the car lot that sold you that junk. Good Luck and God Bless!
