Tips on Buying Cars: Price, public auctions, hi doug

Question
I have an 84 Fiero but i wanted to know if there's a website where i could find the value of the car if i want to sell it, because ive seen some Fieros go for a lot more than KBB because they were only made for 5 years but i dont know how to accurately set a price for mine, maybe you could give me some guidelines.

And also can you tell me about how to buy cars at auctions? and some legit places i could look or how to find them. And your opinion do you think it's a risk to buy cars at auctions?

Answer
Hi Doug
Your question sure brings back old memory's as my wife bought a Fiero back when GM first introduced them, and i think we paid around $ 12.000 for a 4 cyl and the 6 cyl GT was about $ 3.000 more...

There is nowhere to find a true value for a car that old,it all comes down to condition and what someone is willing to pay...here is an interesting site http://www.fiero.org/ if your a Fiero fan...in the last 10 years i have come across a few in a trade and they have never brought more than a few hundred dollars, if the car is in good condition and you got the space consider keeping, you never know what the value down the road will be...

As for buying a car at an auction i strongly recommend you go to my website  http://www.usedcartips.org/
and navigate to PUBLIC AUCTIONS for an understanding what i think about Auctions
