Tips on Buying Cars: used car purchase, rust protection, cash cow

Question
Hello. I live in Kentucky and looking to purchase a used car. Not to get into too many details, but about the only way my wife and I can finance one is to go to a buy here pay here lot. There are several buy here pay here lots in my area with decent vehicles, as well as big dealerships now offering this service. My question is what should I look for dealing with these? i know the interest rate is higher, but what else? What questions should I ask? Any info would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Randy
I assume you have a sub-par credit rating and will be dealing with high interest, dealers love this type of buyer as in most cases they will be in complete control
# 1...Buy the least expensive car that will fit your needs till such time your credit rating has improved
# 2...Shop more than one dealer for interest rates, dealer may tell you to first fill an application
# 3...Dont fall for scams like you have to buy aftermarket products, Warranty - life insurance - rust protection in order to get approval, its an aftermarket cash cow for the dealer
# 4...Go to my website      http://usedcartips.bravehost.com/
Navigate to TEST DRIVE...I GOT POOR CREDIT... from there study some more steps, if something is not clear please get back to me for further guidance
