Tips on Buying Cars: Used car Purchase, dept of motor vehicle, mississippi dept

My son bought a used Saturn through a local dealer here on the Mississippi Coast, he has been making payments on the car, but since we have been through HUrricane Katrina, we cannot find the dealer to make more payments, he still owes around 1200.00. My son would like to sell the car, as it has been nothing but problems and expense for repairs. If this dealer holds the title, how can we sell it, and if we cannot find him, what do we do, is there a law on this at all

On your signed contract where lien shows is the dealer the lien holder or is there a third party involved to show contact
Contact the Mississippi Dept of Motor Vehicle,you can go on Google and type...Mississippi Dept of Motor Vehicle and click on Title transfers
I am a little confused when you say IF the dealer holds the title ?...what does ownership say whom title its in ?,
