Tips on Buying Cars: FORD CAR MILES, ford engine, ford car

Question
HI I HAVE A FORD CAR WHIH HAS DONE 83000 MILES IS THIS FAIRLY HIGH FOR A FORD CAR HOW MANY MILES CAN I EXPECT TO GET OUT OF A FORD ENGINE BEFORE IT PACKS IN AS MY FRIEND SAIS I AM BETTER OFF TRADING IT IN WHILE ITS STILL GOING I ONLY DO 7000MILES A YEAR WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THIS
MANY THANKS

Answer
There is no real answer to this question. Each motor and driver are very different. For example you and another person might have all of the exact same driving habits and climate and all variables, but you change your oil at 5,000 and he changes his @ 7,500 miles which motor should last longer? See each scenario is differnet. But I certainly would trade in now if you want to get any real value out of your trade. Any closer to 100,000 and then there is no reason to trade at all you would be best just riding it into the ground. Please rate my answers
