Tips on Buying Cars: Auto broker, better busin, phoenix az

Question
Dear Mr. Ford,

I guess I wasn't clear in my question.  But thank you very much for the advice you gave.  Those are things I wasn't aware of and will take into consideration in deiding if this is what I should do.

But the question I still have is what are those types of companies called.  And how do I find one in Phoenix, Arizona?

Thank you very much for your time and advice!

Sincerely, Rob-------------------------

Question -
I currently have horrible credit.  I want to get a newer vehicle but know I won't qualify without a large down payment.  I live in Arizona but knew of a guy in Las Vegas who had similar credit as me and was able to take over the payments for a fairly new truck.

He bought this truck through a company that brokered the deal for people who want to get out of their vehicles and hooks them up with people who want to take over their payments.  There was no credit check or anything.  He just paid a fee of $1000 - $2000 and then he took over the payments.

My question is what type of company is this?  I want to do this too but don't know how to search for a company like this.  I want to be able to take over someone's payments on a newer vehicle without having a credit check done.

If you could give me any insight or help on this it would be greatly appreciated.  I live in Phoenix, AZ.

Thanks Rob, for the question.  Many inherent dangers and problems with the scenario you laid out.  Quick Summary:
1.  The original purchaser is responsible for the loan no matter who is making the payments.
2.  The middleman or broker is making money without any service for same, or at least minimal.
3.  The person who takes over the payments could make many payments and never be able to get title to the vehicle, or the vehicle could be reposessed.
4.  If payments are made to the broker and he then pays the bank the possibility is even more dangerous.  My advice:

Be Very Careful.  Any service you use check with The Better Business Bureau plus the agency in the state that handles titles.  And most important, know who the original lender is, what the terms are and if they will let you take over the payments legally.  Best of luck, Bud

Answer
Rob since I live in Florida I am not familiar with Arizona laws and customs but if you go to the licensing bureau all who sell cars have to be licensed.  This is the best I can do for you.  Best of Luck, Bud
If you are not sucessful you might try Steve Denmark who lives in Florida but has customers all over the country.  His email is:   denauto@aol.com
