Tips on Buying Cars: Hail Damage, 2005 chrysler 300, hail damage

I bought a 2005 Chrysler 300 about 10 months ago when I returned home from Iraq from a dealership in MN.  After the first couple carwashes I noticed that the clear coat was starting to chip and bubble in many different places and even had trim missing some paint completely after about 6 months of owning the vehicle.  I bit the bullet and decided to repaint the whole car.  I did this last month and while painting the car i was informed that it had been repainted twice before and both times because of hail damage.  The person who first painted it did a bad job and the second person to paint it just painted over that.  I ended up spending roughly $5,000 for the bodywork to be done properly this time around and get it repainted.  Is there anything I can to do towards the dealership for not releasing that information or even if possible go back to the people who painted it (if able to find out) and seek some kind of retribution since they caused this problem?

Going back to the bodyshop whom painted vehicle is not going to work as title has changed hands, going back to the dealer after 10 months the odds are not with you.

If the previous owner made a settlement with an insurance company, information will have been recorded and you should have noticed with a history report when you bought the car, did you buy the car AS IS on your contract - bill of sale ? is it a clean title or marked Salvage ?. Sorry I think your out of luck unless you can prove misrepresentation on the dealers part selling you the vehicle.
