Tires: Replacing Run Flats on 06 Sienna, tire pressure monitoring system, rim diameter

We have had trouble with the RFT's on our 2006 Sienna.  Can we simply replace the tires with conventional tires without any adverse effects, other that not having a spare on the road with us?

The best information I have says that the type of run flat tires on the Sienna can be replaced with convention tires.  Just to be clear:  They are not Michelin PAX that have a rim diameter in millimeters - such as 460.

You may want to keep the TMPS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) as it will tell you when a tire is low on pressure.
