Tires: Question about tire and wheel standards, wheel rims, tire and rim association

Hi,

I am wondering if you know a source where I can find federal standards for how wheel rims and tire beads are sized to mate with each other properly?  I would like to determine with this information, if a boat trailer tire would fit on an ATV wheel, and the tire bead would properly be seated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim,

The Tire and Rim Association is one of the governing bodies for tire and rim standards.  They - and others - are officially recognized by the US government has being the standardizing body.  They publish a yearbook that has this information in it.  But the cost is $60

But I have a copy, so why don't you ask me the question you want to answered.  I suspect the 2 are incompatible - in more than just rim to bead.
