Tires: Tire Sidewall Crack, camry xle, pulling teeth

Question
Dear Experts,

I currently own a 2006 Camry XLE V6. It's only been a little over 2.5 years but all 4 tires are showing cracks on the sidewall. The car has no more than 20,000 miles on them. I've always taken good maintanence of the tires as well. I live in San Francisco so it's freezing cold most of the time.

My questions are what is the cause of this and should they be of concern. The tires were brand new straight off the lot at a authorized dealer.

Answer
Kevin,

Without physically seeing the tires it's hard to identify exactly what the issue may be.  However, I will speculate, at the risk of annoying my counterparts that the tires in question are Michelin.  Regardless off manufacturer you should still have a viable case for an adjustment based on the remaining tread depth.  Why did I single out Michelin ? This brand is notorious for this condition and sadly it's almost like pulling teeth to get an adjustment from this French owned company.

At any rate, as I said you should have an adjustment claim.

Good Luck,
Brett
