Tires: TIRES AND RIMS, ford mustang lx, stock rims

Question
I HAVE AN 1989 FORD MUSTANG LX WITH A 5.0 ENGINE
IT HAS 245 45 16 TIRES ON IT
THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED AND EVERYWHERE I GO THEY DON'T COME
UP WITH THAT SIZE FOR MY CAR.
WHAT IS THE ORIGIONAL SIZE OR WAS THAT A SPORT PACKAGE FOR MY CAR??????????  THANKS

Answer
Mike,

On every vehicle sold in the US, there is a sticker - commonly called the placard - that will list the original tire size and the proper pressure for that size.  The placard is usually located on a doorpost or in the glove box, but sometimes it is located in the trunk or on the fuel filler door.

According to Tire Guides, the original tire size was P225/60VR15.

You obviously have non-stock rims on the car - and the best information I have available is that a 245/45R16 with a 94 Load Index would be an acceptable fitment from a load carrying perspective (I can not be sure if there is enough clearance as there aren't any books that tell me how big the fenderwells are.)
