Tires: Subaru Liberty tire damage, subaru liberty, profile tyres

Question
Liberty 3.0R Spec-B Wagon  18-inch low-profile Bridgestone
33000km 15 months old - city & highway use only
Tested pressures: Front 30+psi Rear ~28psi (rear should be 30 by the book)
Front alignment out by 2.5mm (dunno which dimension)
Rear alignment 'spot-on' according to dealer check.
No accidents / damage events to damage tires.
Front-back rotate abotu 10,000km ago.
Some visible wear on outer shoulders - figured part of the side effects of soft rubber / AWD / city driving - no problem for me, no vibration, odd handling etc.
Last weeek had a flat - went in and ended up replacing the tire due to run-flat / wall damage.
Subsequently discovered ALL FOUR tires have serious tread/shoulder damage on inner shoulder of tires.
Have taken it to Subaru - asking them to explain - as they have serviced it, rotated tires etc...
Early murmur is that the 28psi is enough to shred the tires - possibly the rotation moved the good tires to the front.
At the premium price of low-profile tyres - I don't want to find out the hard way - and would like Subaru/Bridgestone to come to the  party as well...

The serios damage is confined to the innner shoulder of all 4 tires, stell belt is exposed / tread separation / som bulging...  (not good)

Any ideas ?
Thanks
MC

Answer
Michael,

I think the problem is the 2.5mm toe.  That is the only dimension that would be stated in terms of length rather than degrees.

This makes absolute sense compared against your problem - I even predicted that was your problem when I first saw the value and hadn't reached the part of your posting where it said that.

But you also have to realize that aggressive driving may be a factor.  Gentle driving preserves tires.
