Tires: 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 - Z Rated Tires, ford focus zx5, 2005 ford focus zx5

I have been told by every tire sales person that I've seen in the last 4 years (this is my 2nd focus) that I cannot change my Z-rated tires to a more appropriate type of tire.  I driver 130+ miles a day at less than 80 mph and have to buy 2 tires every 6 months.  Z rated tires are usually around $100 each and I'd love to be able to take advantage of a sale once in while.  Can I do ANYTHING to utilize a more appropriate tire?

Answer
NO.  Sorry to say but the only way to get away from z rated is to buy a new car.
I have seen a lot of people get raid of there car because they did not know that each tire cost around 200 each.
I am not saying that is what you should do.
You can always go up in speed rating but never down.
This is why I always checked the tires before I buy a car.
