Tires: GOING UP IN TIRE SIZE, dodge ram 1500, wheel wells

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with 245 tires that look small in the wheel wells..Can I go up to 265 with out  hurting my truck?

I need to know what all the numbers are. It should read 245/70R16 or 245/75R16. You should be able to go up to the 265/70R16 but realize that the speedo will change about 4%.
When your speedo reads 60 MPH your really going around 62.5 MPH. I changed my 2003 Silverado from 235/75R16 to 255/70R16 and had the dealer adjust the speedo on the computer. I'm getting ready to go with a 265/70R16 tire myself.
