Tires: Dodge Truck, 17 inch wheels, dodge truck

I have A 2000 Dodge Ram with the offroad package which includes 17 inch wheels.It came with 275-70-17 on it can I go with 265-70-17 ? there is a big price diffrence as well as selection.

The 265 should work just fine. Most tire company's cure this tire in the same mold as the 275, They change the belt angles in order to keep the tire from growing to the 275 size when inflated. There will be a small change in the speedo. When your speedo reads 60MPH you are really going only 59MPH.
