Tires: tire selection, michelin hydroedge, bf goodrich traction ta

Question
I need tires for my 1999 Honda civic lx sedan and want tires that perform well on VERY wet roads (I live in northwest).  Safety is my main concern, not price, and want tires that will minimize hydroplaning, etc.  Probably won't drive in snow.  Are the tires specifically designed for wet conditions (e.g. aquatred) better than regular all-season?  I am getting conflicting information so would appreciate a BRIEF rundown on what type and possibly actual brand/model you would recommend for this car.

Thanks very much

Answer
the Michelin Hydroedge, Goodyear Assurance Triple tred and the BF Goodrich traction TA are the three tires you need too investigate.  The Hydroedge is Michelin's rain tire, the Assurance Triple Tred is Goodyears tread tire that encompasses all season tread, and the Traction TA has a good footprint for your kind of weather.  good luck
