Tires: Car Shaking, flat stuff, sealant

Question
Hi. This is my story. One day I drove out of my driveway, and halfway down the road, I noticed that one of my tires was flat. I drove back home and got the "fix a flat" stuff to pump into my tire. Ever since, when I get on the freeway and get to about 55 mph or higher, my car starts to shake. I was wondering if you would know what it could possibly be? all of my tires pretty much seem to have the same air pressure as well. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Answer
Joe,

I'm assuming you put the "fix-a-flat" in the tire.

2 possibilities:

1)  The sealant in the "fix-a-flat" is all in one place and you now have an out of balance condition.

Did you find out why the tire went flat and then fix that?

2)  Your tire has been damaged and it's getting ready to fail.

If you operated the tire when it was actually flat or even very low, then it could be damaged and a vibration that wasn't there before is one of the signs of a tire failing.  If the vibration is gradually getting worse, then that's an absolutely sure sign.

Hope this helps.
