Tires: tire size, inflation pressure, gmc jimmy

This should be an easy one. I have a 4wd gmc jimmy running on 235 75 15. I dont have 2000
dollars for a lift kit, so i just want taller
tires. Problem is when you go up to a 30 or a
31 you start getting a larger and larger width.
For max gas mileage is there a tall 15 inch tire
thats narrow?

Unfortunately, there aren't any 15" tires that are both narrow and taller than you have.

May I suggest that the best way to improve fuel consumption in your situation is to add inflation pressure to your tires, perhaps even 5 psi above the placard, and to drive gently.
