my bike kicks over with the choke on but as soon as i take the choke off the bike turns off dont understand why,

The choke provides an enriched fuel mixture to make starting a cold engine easier and produces a fast idle to allow quick engine warming. The bike should be allowed to run for a brief warming period with the choke on at starting, once warm and before riding , turn the choke off. Hope this simple solution will help you.
