Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: 1995 Yamaha PW 80, yamaha pw 80, pitbikes

Question
I recently purchased a used bike for my two boys, One boy is 10 years old and almost 5' and 100 pounds.  The other boy is 8 and he is only about 55-60 pounds.  Both have no experience and I have only minimal experience from my childhood.  I was wondering if the bike is appropriate and where do I find training courses for the boys?  I am in the St Louis, MO area.

Answer
You can probably get by with the 80 for now, but your bigger boy will quickly outgrow it, if he hasn't already. Four stroke trail bikes and pitbikes from 80-125 cc should be adequate for learning.

There is probably MSF dirt bike training in your area. Call 800-446-9227 or visit www.msf-usa.org to locate some training for your boys--and you too! Lots of people do it family style, and really enjoy learning new things together.
