Used Cars: used car, private seller, second opinion

i bought a used car from a private seller,and did not even make the 20 miles home.do i have any recourse? he keeps telling me he will make it right,but it has been a week now,and i have not seen him yet.

   Unfortunately unless you signed some type of agreement there is no recourse. To others who read this post, you need to take any used car and have a second opinion from a mechanic, the 20 to 60 bucks you would spend is well worth it.
