ok so im planning on buying a used car that is about 10 miles out of town, what i need to know is that when i buy this car am i safe to drive it back to town with his current tags on or do i need to remove them or what.

Here in Michigan you are allowed to take the most direct trip home after buying a car without having a new plate. I would advise you to get insurance on the car, just in case anything should happen. You can get insurance without a plate, but you cant get a plate without insurance. Hope this helps, thanks for the question.  Shane
