I am saving up to buy my first car and found a
1996 BMW 328iS coupe for $3,900. It has manual transmission, 6 cylinder engine with 132,648 miles on it.

The sellers description is:
1996 BMW 328is - Hellrot Red - Ground Effects This car is a gem, clean shiny paint, with Bavarian Autosport Lip Spoiler, Rear Wing from Erebuni Corporation, AC blows cold, Power sunroof, black leather interior with no rips or tears, Kenwood AM/FM/CD player, ASA Wheels/ Bridgestone Potenza Tires - 215/45R17. Always garage kept. Car left Germany and began it's life in Florida, currently located in Connecticut. You will not be disappointed with this specimen.

To be honest I am terrible when it comes to cars, do you think this is worth the purchase, and will i end up getting screwed over with this car.

The deal looks good on paper, but 4 grand is still a lot of money should you end up with a lemon. I really have a gut feeling this vehicle may have a shady history, it's easy to dress up cosmetics, but it's the tranny - engine and frame that will have the final say...  here are some steps I would follow should I want to persue the deal. Phone and ask if a history report is available " if not " ask for vin # and obtain history through my website. it will cost you 30 bucks, but money well spendt to secure 4 grand" should vehicle have had frame damage or a salvage title.
