Trucking: new driver trying to find a job, luck jim, honest person

Question
number 1 is why is the industry so hard on felons? we deserve a second chance. second are there any companies other than carolina cargo willing to give a felon a chance? i already have my cdl but still in driver trainee status.

Answer
Steve, I can't answer for the entire industry, but if you were going to turn over a $100,000 plus piece of your equipment hauling hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of your customer's product to someone to take it across the country, deliver the goods and return your equipment in good condition you probably want an honest person to entrust this responsibility to.
I don't know the nature of your felony but I can assure you that there are some jobs you will not be considered for baseed on your record.  The best advise I can give is work hard and honest at what you can find and build a new track record that will persuade others to take a chance on you.  Best of luck.  Jim.
