Trucking: None Payment for loads delivered., small claims court, luck jim

Hi, I am a owner operator. owned the truck not the trailer been leased on to this company for a couple of weeks, and I have not been payed on time, I am suppose be payed on Friday's, which i do not receive till Tuesday or wednesday, and I am only payed in chunks never full payments, Do not want to work for this company any long, worried he might not pay what is owed to me. is there anything i can do, I thought about putting a lien on the trailer, but don't know how to go about it, bills need paid. thanks.

Eric, at some point if you pull the plug and don't get paid you may have to resort to small claims court.  I doubt you can put a lien on the trailer or the customers freight.  What excuse are they giving?  Have fulfilled all of their requirements, paperwork, etc.?
Read your contract and see if there are any other options available.  There are4 good companies to drive for so you should be able to get paid for the miles driven.  Best luck.  Jim.
