Trucking: failing drug test, human resource dept, luck mike

QUESTION: hello i recently failed a drug test. i took like 4 puffs of some weed the doctor said the levels were very low but it still came up positive for weed. will this get reported to the dot, they already reported there finding to my company. i dont smoke weed it was just a bad decision and timing. what do i do now

ANSWER: call up the companys human resource dept and tell them you have a drug problem, and they will send you to rehab, after the rehab you will be subjected to a random, maybe weekly, at your expense until they think you're OK. Good Luck. Mike

QUESTION: thank you for your reply, i just wanted to know how will the results of this drug test appear on my driving record. i was reading about a report called DAC. will failing this test make it harder for me to gain new employment, because i was terminated from the company, does this also get reported to the DOT thank you.

Unfortunately, it will show on any applications to companies that you failed, also, they will ask you on the application if you ever failed a test. It will take you a while, but you will find work again, try a mom and pop company. sorry I couldn't give you better news. Mike
